I’m not kidding. I have swine flu and I feel like shit.

I went to the hospital, told the triage nurse in the ER my symptoms, and they whisked me right off to see a doctor. I was seriously from the waiting room to a hospital bed in less than 15 mins, which never happens at the ER. My doctor was nice and examined me and said “I’d bet my moustache that you have the swine flu.” They didn’t do the swine flu test on me because they only do that for people who are in such bad condition that they need to be admitted to the hospital. It’s a 3 day test, so instead he perscribed me some tamiflu, robitusen w/ codene and something for my congestion in my nose. I have to pay a $300 copay for being seen. Shitty.
I feel like a leper. I went to Walgreens to pick up my prescriptions and people parted down the aisles like the red sea. It was probably the face mask that scared them, but hey I either wear this mask or you get the swine flu fuckers.

Anyway I’m home now sick as fuck and I predict I’m going to have a pretty hard time sleeping. One of my symptoms is chills and it sucks. One second i’m freezing and the next I’m burning up. I need to try to stat uncovered to bring my fever down but it’s hard when I feel like im sleeping in the arctic. My fever is 102.4 right now. It’s not terribly high but I don’t want it to get worse.

Anyway I’m gonna try to sleep. Everyone please take care of yourselves, I wouldn’t wish this upon any of you.
